#FabricFriday - The Indigenous Art Collection
The Kindness Factory respectfully acknowledges that we live, work, and play on traditional territory of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ nations.
Over the past 8 months, folks have shown a keen interest in prints designed by Aboriginal artists and those with Indigenous art themes.
As settlers, we have struggled to balance meeting this demand with avoiding appropriation. We’ve previously discussed ways that we have worked to overcome these challenges, recognized mistakes we have made, and acknowledged that this is an ongoing journey, and not a destination.
To the best of our knowledge, the Indigenous Art prints we carry are designed by Indigenous and/or Native American artists, and the fabrics are purchased from Indigenous-owned shops and are used with consent.
It’s our hope to continue these conversations and move toward greater understanding.
So this #FabricFriday, we present Indigenous Art Batik, Red/Black and Blue/Cream . We continue to carry the popular Black/Blue. Find them all HERE .
We have to wear masks - we may as well have a bit of fun with them.
Have a great weekend everyone! 😷❤️ And stay safe.
